There are no longer two types of medicine, orthodox and complementary, ... There is only good medicine and bad medicine.

What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy comes from the Greek word “homoios” and “pathos” meaning similar suffering. It’s a specific practice of holistic health care in which as the name implies the scientific premise of “like cures like”. To further this thought if we understand that symptoms are the body’s way of taking action to overcome illness and that all living organisms have a healing response (termed the vital response), a homeopathic remedy (a catalyst which would in a healthy person give the symptoms you’ve been experiencing) provides the stimulus necessary to the vital response to heal itself. For example – homeopathically prepared coffee is used to treat some kinds of insomnia. Homeopathy has been around for over 250 years, offers over 4000 homeopathic remedies, and is recognized by the World Health Organization as the second largest therapeutic system used in the world.

What is a Homeopathic remedy?
Homeopathic remedies are gentle, subtle and powerful and are dilutions of a variety of plant, mineral and other constituents that occur naturally. They are non-addictive, they don’t interfere with prescription medications, and are not tested on animals. Typically, one dose of the suggested remedy is given and a follow-up consultation is required in 6-8 weeks. Results can range in a variety of ways depending on the level of symptomology the client was experiencing prior to the initial visit. It can be as subtle as “You know, I can’t put my finger on what exactly has changed but I feel better” to “I used to have debilitating headaches twice a week, but since taking the remedy, I haven’t had any.” If on the off chance the wrong remedy is given, nothing happens at all or new symptoms arise temporarily which helps point the way to the correct remedy.

What conditions can be helped with Homeopathy?
A variety of conditions can be impacted with Homeopathy. This is because we don’t just suffer from isolated and disconnected dis-eases. Everything about our health is interconnected. For example, a problem with our heart may be affected by anxiety which is then related to a skin problem or even a stomach disorder. Here is a short list of symptoms homeopathy can help with: anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, ADD / ADHD, OCD, learning or growth issues, family dynamics, acid reflux, ulcers, IBS, colitis, asthma, allergies, colds, sinus infections, skin rashes, academic challenges, increasing athletic performance, sports injuries, arthritis, insomnia, gynecological issues like PMS, menopause, endometriosis, cystitis, etc., UTI’s, incontinence, prostate issues, ED, and the list goes on and on.

What is a Homeopathic intake like? Initial interviews typically take two hours in which a comprehensive assessment is made including mental, emotional and physical aspects of the client. The goal is to gain a thorough and objective understanding of the client and what makes them a unique individual. You are treated as an individual living system and ALL your symptoms are taken into consideration versus being treated one off as each symptom arises. This provides a picture of symptoms, thought patterns, emotional tendencies, etc. in which the homeopath’s objective is to find a remedy that reflects that picture as closely as possible (like cures like). When the correct remedy is selected and given to a client, the body’s own healing power is stimulated and the healing process benefits. Always with the tenant to move the client towards a better quality of health.
